Tropes - Canon

Stardroids in General
All There in the Manual: The Stardroids being aliens is said multiple times in the early game, but the limited script coupled with Wily's involvement with them led a lot of people to think that they were just regular robots pretending to be aliens. The manual confirms otherwise and the varying comics make it very clear.
Artifact of Death: The Stardroids consider destruction their purpose, though they'll follow Terra, and by extension, whoever Terra serves.
Killed Off for Real: They are never mentioned again after their game, so it's quite likely that they were just never rebuilt after Mega Man destroyed them.
Killer Robot: Their self-chosen purpose in life is destruction and death... for everything.
Nightmare Fuel: They're strong enough that modern weapons and robots can't even ding their armor, and in the manga, they're Nightmare Fuel for everyone in the canon... they successfully wipe out nearly the entire line of Wily robots, well over a thousand other robots, and Blues.
Really 700 Years Old: Though their age isn't mentioned in the original game or its' manual, there's implications that the Stardroids are immensely old. In the Archie comics, they're at least 20,000 years old, and in the manga, they've been imprisoned inside of Duo for a heck of a long time.
Red Eyes, Take Warning: Most of the Stardroids have red eyes. (As a bonus, they don't have pupils.)
Robotic Psychopath
Theme Naming: The Stardroids are all named after the planets of the solar system. Even Terra (whose name was Earth in the original version).

Pluto
Animal-Themed Superbeing: He's designed after jungle cats (the big cats, not the species of small cats)
Ceiling Cling / Wall Crawl: He can use his claws to climb walls and hang there. He usually spends a fair bit of his fight hiding in the top corners of the screen to attack from range.
Catboy: He's designed after big cats and has the ears and tail to match.
Fur and Loathing: He has a fair bit of white fur in his design, and he's both psychotic and vain.
Invulnerable Attack: His Break Dash is a supersonic dash which renders him immune to damage.
Non-Indicative Name: Unlike other Stardroids such as Mars, Pluto has absolutely nothing in common with his namesake.
Primal Stance: His idle stance before the battle.
Wall Jump
Wolverine Claws
